In this chapter we have introduced the hacker and some of the reasons he hacks. We introduced the system administrator in the traditional sense with all the faults in the model that need to be changed. We then introduced the syshackadminer who is the conglomerate person of the hacker and system administrator. The syshackadminer takes a completely different approach to system security compared to the traditional system administrator. Thinking like a hacker allows him to find system security problems as hackers would. Being a system administrator allows him to fix the problems after they have been found. Taking over all the good parts of the hacker and the system administrator allows him to have the best of both worlds, and therefore to provide a better protected system. We now continue to discuss the threats to security of which a syshackadminer has to be aware.
